Their teacher, Calypso, a tan colored mixed breed dog from Jamaica, is busy explaining their take home reading assignment, "A Christmas Carol" by Lewis Carroll. The children are seated in two rows, in the first row is Greta, the lone German Shepard. Next to her are Yuri and Tanya, two black Russian wolfhounds. Filling out the front row are Josephine, Felipe and Antonie, three tan French Poodle siblings. In the back row are Deng and Peng, the twin Sitzus and next to them are four tan colored Italian greyhound siblings: Carla, Vanni, Bernedette and Giorgio. All except Peng and Deng are getting quite restless, watching the clock on the wall, the sweeping second hand circling. CALYPSO (shouts): CLASS! Is anyone paying attention to old Calypso now? DENG (smiles): Peng and I are, ma'am! PENG (smiles): We're hanging on your every word! CALYPSO (looks around the room): Vanni! Can you tell me who wrote "A Christmas Carol"? VANNI (waking out of a daze): Er...... Carol Channing? The other students burst out in laughter. Calypso is not amused. CALYPSO (sternly): You not be paying attention to me, have you mon? (sighs) Well, it's close enough to dismissal time, you now may go, but remember, I be wanting your book reports on "A Christmas Carol" completed by next Tuesday. It be just in time for Christmas! As the students make a run for the door, a loud thud is heard in the hallway, followed by Fydo yelling out,"RUNAWAY DOLLY!!!" as a huge wooden crate is wheeled into the classroom and collides with Calypso's desk. Finally catching up to it is Fydo, almost out of breath as he reaches for the automated dolly's off button. The Rover children emerged from under their desks and laugh hysterically at the site of their teacher's desk having been turned sideways up against the wall. CALYPSO (angry): FYDO!! What be the meaning of dis, speak, mon, SPEAK!!! FYDO (panting hard): This....crate......was....... CALYPSO (motioning with her hands): Calm down, mon. Wait till ye be catching your breath, then speak to Calypso! The Rover children gather around Fydo, who is now sitting in Calypso's chair. FYDO (panting lightly): Ok, security called me down to cargo bay eleven. They found this crate labeled,"For the Space Rover Children" on it. We think that it was placed on the Canius Minor on our last visit to earth. Attached to the top of the crate is this manila envelope, addressed to you, ma'am! Fydo hands the manila envelope to Calypso, she opens it and sees a letter wrapped around a videotape cassette. CALYPSO (examines letter): This letter isn't signed! It says, Dear Space Rover children, don't play this VCR tape or open this crate until you return. You will understand later. Two friends from Earth. (turns letter around) Hmmmmmm. That be all it say, kids! Do any of you know what this letter be meaning? All of the Rover children shake their heads no. CALYPSO (looks at crate, then at Fydo): Well, we will place dis crate in the back storage area till someone can explain dis to me better. Fydo, be letting me control this wheeled dolly, no offense mon, but you be needing driving lessons! Class dismissed! All of the Rover children rush out of the classroom, except for Greta, Yuri and Antonie. GRETA (picks up paper from the floor): Miss Calypso, we can help you clean up this mess! YURI (smiles): Da! We get desk unstuck from wall, too! ANTONIE (picks up broken vase): Sucrableu! This was the fine crytsal vase my mother made for you, she formed it from glass using her laser vision in the rec hall! CALYPSO (smiles): You children are sweet to Calypso, but Fydo and I can clean dis mess up! You three run along and play! FYDO (sadly): I made this mess, I'll clean it up, ma'am. Deng, Peng, Vanni and Josephine peer inside the classroom and see Greta, Yuri and Antonie helping to straighten up the classroom, and they all join in. Deng and Peng use a makeshift block and tackle to move the desk from the wall safely, and gently lower it to the floor. As Calypso manuevers the automated dolly towards the back of the room, Vanni, Greta and Josephine continue gathering all of the scattered papers lying on the floor. GRETA (pats Fydo on the back): Cheer up, Uncle Fydo, everybody makes mistakes FYDO (sadly): I just wish I didn't make so many of them..... YURI (smiles): Don't be so downski Comrade Fydo! JOSEPHINE (smiles): Yuri's right, Uncle Fydo, we all love you! FYDO (smiles): Thanks, kids! CALYPSO (closes back room door): Fydo, mon, I put dee crate away, can you drive this ting back down to the cargo bay, or do you be needin' Calypso to do it? FYDO (slight grin): I can do it, ma'am! PENG (looking at the control panel): This does not seem to be a difficult vehicle to maneuver... DENG (interrupting): It is an electronic device, powered by a 4.5 horsepower engine with a ... FYDO (pushes a button): I think I can handle it, thanks guys... PENG (bows): Anytime! DENG (bows): Our pleasure! Fydo drives the automated dolly into the hallway and down to the elevator. CALYPSO (smiles): Tank you all for helping me with da mess, but you children be needing to go play now! DENG (surprised): Why aren't you telling us to do our homework first, ma'am? CALYPSO (smiles): Because Calypso be young once herself, and she know that kids like you need recreation as well as education! Go, enjoy yourselves! Do da book report later! GRETA (smiles and waves): Thanks, teacher! Bye! The other Rover children wave and leave the classroom. As they enter the elevator, they begin discussing their current assignment. DENG (looks in book): Charles Dickins "A Christmas Carol" PENG (looks in book): This will be an easy assignment to complete GRETA (sadly): The story seems hard for me to understand PENG (looks at Greta): What's not to understand? This old, grumpy, misery human gets visited by ghosts, visits his past, then in the end becomes a good human. VANNI (looks at Peng): Mama mia! Peng, thatsa Reader's Digest version of the story! JOSEPHINE (looks at Peng): Yeah Peng, there's a lot that goes on in between those events DENG (angry): Hey, don't criticize my brother! He is basically correct in his accessment of the novel YURI (smiles): Da! Comrade Peng speaks the truth! It's a work of fiction anyway! Humans can't be that cruel, can they? DENG (sternly): Humans CAN be that cruel, but we canines would NEVER be that cruel to each other! PENG (nods): Yes, we dogs can always get along with one another! GRETA (smiles): Like Blitz and Colleen do? Like Yuri's mom and Daisy and Flash? Like .... DENG (smirks): There are exceptions to every rule, Greta... YURI (angry): Hey Greta, leave my mother out of this! GRETA (sadly): I'm sorry, Yuri... JOSEPHINE (walks over to Greta and looks at Yuri): You hurt Greta's feelings, Yuri. Apologize! GRETA (in tears): It's alright, I deserve it! YURI (calmly): I didn't mean to upset you, Greta, I'm sorry! GRETA (wipes tears from eyes): Thank you! The elevator door opens and waiting in the hallway in front of them are the other six Space Rover children. They seemed to be bored and a little bit upset. TANYA (angry): Bolshoi, there's nothing to do! BERNADETTE (shouts): Yeah! The game room and lounge are closed because Dot is shampooing the carpets! ANTONIE (points): And the recreation area is closed, too! Even the pool is being cleaned! PENG (smiles): I have an idea, everyone! CARLA (turns to Peng): Well, don't leave us all in suspense! Tell us! TANYA (turns to Peng): You have an idea? Let's hear it! DENG (grins): Brother, I know that look in your eyes! PENG (smiles wider): YES!!! Let's sneak into Flash and Daisy's labratory and have a look around! GIORGIO (shakes head): No, no, thatsa not a good idea! GRETA (scared): I agree with Giorgio, we could all get into a lot of trouble! YURI (snarls): Nyet, you two are just scary dogs! Let's go, Peng! BERNADETTE (wonders): Well, we could ask Flash and Daisy to let us look around... ANTONIE (nods): That's a good idea! Maybe they'll give us a guided tour! CARLA (nods): I like that idea better than just 'sneaking' in! GRETA (grins): Me too! PENG (stands in front of the others): Ok, it's agreed! Let's go! The twelve Space Rover kids enter the elevator and emerge on Deck ten, right across the corridor from the door to Flash's and Daisy's lab. The door to the lab opens and the twelve look around inside, trying to find Daisy and Flash. TANYA (shouting): Miss Daisy! Miss Flash! JOSEPHINE (shouting): Anyone here? VANNI (turns to the others): They're not here, maybe they're in Engineering. GRETA (scared): Then we better go there, they may not like us being in here YURI (looks around): Hey, where's Peng and Deng? GIORGIO (shocked): Mama mia! They both were justsa behind me! Just then the others here the sounds of banging and clanging coming from farther back in the lab. When they all run over to investigate, they find a very large cubical-looking metal device with many wires coming from it plugged into a computer panel on the wall. The cubic device is open on two ends, and Peng and Deng are standing inside of it, each are holding wrenchs in their hands. PENG (smiles): This is one of the components of the ship's artificial wormhole generating machine! DENG (looks above): I'll bet they're repairing this thing! Let's help them! TANYA (looks inside): Nyet! You two better get out of there! No telling what this thing could do! GRETA (shakes head): Daisy and Flash won't like this! PENG (sternly): Greta, they'll thank us for helping them! Hand me a Phillips screwdriver, will you Giorgio? GIORGIO (picks up screwdriver): Are you guys sure about this? DENG (smiles): Certainly, we know what we're doing! Peng and I have already studied quantum physic texts, so we know what we're doing! PENG (points): See? Look at this wiring above us! Even I can plainly see that this line is disconnected! One by one, the Space Rover kids walk inside the cubic device to look at the loose wire. Greta is the last one to enter. PENG (laughs): Look how easy I can fix this! Peng reaches up and connects the two loose wire ends together, this causes a huge flash of light and a booming noise that knocks all of the children down. The machine makes a few funny noises and before any of them know what is happening, they all instantly disappear from the inner chamber. All of them have been rendered unconscience by the sudden energy discharge. Soon, all twelve Rover children awaken to find themselves in a cold, muggy, foggy swamp. Unknown to them at this time, the machine has somehow turned them all back into canines. Though all that human ears can hear is barking, they are able to 'talk' among themselves. YURI (struggles to stand): Hey, what happened? CARLA (looks up): Where are we? BERNEDETTE (screams): WE'RE ALL DOGS AGAIN! DENG (surprised): Bernadette appears to be correct! FELIPE (looks around): Guys, I don't think we're on the ship anymore! GRETA (shakes): I'm scared! What's going on? PENG (sternly): That component of the wormhole generator must've been active. Our attempt to repair it may have accidently turned it on! ANTONIE (nods): Wee! But where are we and how do we return? As the Rover children were pondering their situation, they all hear faint barking in the distance. When they all run toward the sound, they see a adult light brown Newfoundland dog tied to a pine tree with a rope. She was lying down, and looked very, very sad. At first, the twelve Rover puppies were afraid to approach her, but finally Greta worked up enough courage to step forward. GRETA (stuttering): Excuse me..... ma'am....... FEMALE DOG (turns head to look at her): Please, child, don't be afraid. Is there any way you can help me get loose from this tree? GRETA (nervous): Maybe my friends can help... FEMALE DOG (sighs): I hope they can, young lady. My master brought me out to this dreadful place, tied me up to this tree and left! It's been five days and I'm so hungry! Please, can you help me? GRETA (turns around, calls out): It's alright! This dog needs our help! The other Rover children slowly come out of hiding and approach the sad-looking Newfoundland dog. HANNAH (smiles slightly): My name is Hannah, what does your master call you, young German Shepard? GRETA (smiles): My parents named me Greta.....I wish I were home now.... HANNAH (heavy sigh): Me too, Greta, I still can't understand why my master did this to me! DENG (shakes head): In our pure canine forms, it will be difficult to remove Hannah's restraint. GIORGIO (sadly): In other words, we no can get the rope off, right? It was just then that a strange, loud noise was heard that echoed like thunder throughout the swamp. HANNAH (sternly): Children, get behind me! I'll protect you! VANNI (sadly): But Hannah, you can barely stand! PENG (sadly): You haven't the energy for sustained combat. HANNAH (shouts): Don't agrue with me, do what I say! Hurry! The twelve Rover puppies run behind Hannah when they hear the grass russle behind them. Emerging from the swamp grass were several huge crocodlies, groaning and snapping their huge jaws. Hannah finds the strength to stand and growl at them. Then all of them hear a loud booming human voice yelling "WHO BE TRESPASSING IN MY SWAMP?" HANNAH (scared): Human voice! But that voice doesn't sound like my master or any of his family. Hannah and the puppies were very surprised when another figure emerged from the murky shadows of the swamp. It was another dog, a white mongrel with black and brown spots all over it's body. His right front leg was missing, and he spoke in a human voice, with a Cajun accent. AMOS (growling): You leave me swamp NOW! Git! You be not welcome here! HANNAH (surprised): You...you can talk like a human! I don't believe it! You must be the legendary Amos Doggie! I heard my master and his friends talk about you! AMOS (angry): You did? Well then, tell old Amos what they be saying about me! HANNAH (happy): That you were a three legged swamp dog who talks like a human and communicates with gators and... AMOS (growls): HUSH, FEMALE!! And did they also tell you that I be a MEAN old dog that DON'T LIKE TRESPASSERS? HANNAH (scared): Yes..... they did mention that ..... AMOS (shouts): Well den, BE ON YOUR WAY!! LEAVE ME BE!!! GIT OUT OF MY SWAMP!!!! HANNAH (frightened): But I can't go, sir, I'm leashed to this tree. My master left me here five days ago.. AMOS (growls loudly): HUMANS!!! I HATE HUMANS!!! They be good for nothin' but getting supplies from! OK, Amos git you loose den you leave! The old swamp dog slowly hobbled over to the tree and began to gnaw on the rope. After two minutes of constant chewing, he finally managed to cut it. AMOS (growls): No more leash! No more reason to be here! Go and take your puppies with you! HANNAH (stands up): Come along, children, I'll get you back home somehow. As she walked away from Amos, Hannah collapses to the ground. Greta forgets her fear and runs back to Amos. GRETA (shouts): Mr Amos. Hannah hasn't had a bite to eat in five days! None of us pups are her children, we're lost and can't find our way back home. Won't you please help us? AMOS (growls): You have plenty nerve to be barking at me like this, girly! Be on your way! Leave! GRETA (crying): Won't you please help us? Please? Amos Doggie's expression changed from anger to compassion, if only for that brief moment in time. AMOS (sternly): The young lady be right! Can't have you dogs dying in my swamp. Follow me to my shack, you eat what I eat, den you LEAVE!!! GRETA (smiling): Oh, thank you, sir! Thank you very much! AMOS (angry): Don't be gittin no ideas! You eat, den you go! The twelve Rover children and Hannah follow Amos Doggie deeper into the swamp lands. Hannah staggers and falls twice, the second time Amos runs over to her and puts his body under hers and slowly hobbles forward, 'carrying the front part of her' on his back while she 'walked' on her hind legs. The Rover kids had never seen a sight like this before, the much smaller old swamp dog 'supporting' the larger Newfoundland canine as they moved closer and closer to the place where Amos stayed. It was a huge lean-to set against a large pine tree. Inside there was a small campfire going with a iron pot setting over it. Amos sets Hannah down and jumps into a pile of junk on the floor, angry tossing objects out of it until he managed to find thirteen plastic bowls. AMOS (growls): Dis ain't no cafeteria! I eats crawdad bisk, so y'all eats crawdad bisk! Amos sets the bowls down in a row, while holding a long ladle in his teeth, he fills the bowls with bisk. AMOS (angry): Be careful! It be plenty hot! VANNI (scared): Sir! There's something floating in my soup! GRETA (scared): Mine too! BERNEDETTE (scared): Momma Mia! FELIPE (scared): Sucrableu!!! AMOS (laughs): Dat be the crawdads! Why would Amos call it crawdad bisk if it have no crawdads in it! Hannah is so famished that she laps up the hot bisk in no time flat. AMOS (half smile): Lady, I never see one love me cookin' so much! I be giving you more! Hannah laps up the next bowl quickly. The Rover kids are relucant at first to try the strange looking soup, but when they watch Hannah eat her fourth bowl, they all decide to try it. To their surprise, the weird looking strange smelling bisk was quite tasty. Outside, it begins to rain hard, with lightning and loud thunder crackling loudly. This frightens many of the Rover kids who all huddle around Hannah. AMOS (sternly): So, all of you like my crawdad bisk! I learn to cook it by my former master. PENG (confused): But you said you hate all humans! How did you ... AMOS (screams): I DO HATE DEM!!! Me master loved to use old Amos as bait for catching gators! When I was as small as you puppies, he tie a rope around me waist and toss me into the swamp! When the gators came to eat me, he'd wack dem with a iron pipe! One day, he be late with da pipe, and a gator bit off me front leg! GRETA (sadly): That's aweful... AMOS (growls): I be not lookin' for pity! No thank you! HANNAH (curious): How is it that you can speak like a human, and how did you become friends with so many gators? AMOS (growls): I know not why I can speak like a human, not do I know why I can talk to gators, I just can, that be all I know! Ok, you've eaten, NOW GO!!! I'll tell me gator friends to leave you alone, but GO!! HANNAH (pleads): Sir, it's raining and windy outside. Please don't send these poor puppies out in the cold like this! AMOS (growls): We had a deal! You eat, you leave! I keep me end of the deal, you keep yours! HANNAH (sadly pleads): Please don't send these puppies away! Do what you wish to me, but they don't deserve this! Especially tonight of all nights! AMOS (angry): What be so special about dis night, woman? HANNAH (sadly): It's Christmas Eve.... AMOS (furious): Christmas! More human junk! Why would Amos care about Christmas? DENG (shakes head): It's not Christmas Eve! When we left the ship, Christmas was two weeks away! PENG (points with front paw): Look at that wall calendar! Amos marks the days on it, and look at the year! TANYA (surprised): It says 1996! We not only are on earth, but we've somehow traveled back in time! AMOS (turns to the kids): What be you mumbling about? JOSEPHINE (sadly): It's true, Mr Amos, tonight is Christmas Eve! AMOS (growls): So what? GIORGIO (sadly): We are all lost, and now we're going to miss Christmas too! All of the Rover children begin to cry, even the normally calm Peng and Deng can no longer look solemn, they cry too. This makes Amos grow angrier, until he sees Greta crying. Just like before in the swamp, seeing the young German Shepard puppy crying is more that the crusty old swamp dog can stand. Then he glances up at Hannah, who is also crying. AMOS (growls): OK, OK, you be staying the night, but tommorrow you GO! HANNAH (smiles): Thank you, sir! AMOS (growls): It be getting late, we sleep now! The Rover children huddle around Hannah and slowly drift off to sleep. Amos curls up and sleeps on the other side of the room. Greta stirs and rolls, and soon awakens crying. HANNAH (looks down at Greta): Greta, what's wrong? GRETA (crying): We won't be having Christmas this year! We'll never get back to our ship! HANNAH (surprised): Ship? Do you and the other puppies live on a boat? GRETA (crying): No, on a space ship called the Canius Minor! I miss my mom and dad, we all miss our parents! HANNAH (sadly): I never knew my parents, Greta. I was purchased at a pet shop by a very wealthy man, as a gift for his children. But when I grew up, the children rarely walked or played with me. I guess that's why I was abandoned in the woods. GRETA (crying): I'm so sorry, ma'am! HANNAH (smiles): Well, I'll do my best to help you and the other puppies to get home. Until then, I'll take care of you! GRETA (crying): I just wish we could have Christmas this year.... Hannah sings a little lullaby to put Greta to sleep. Unknown to them, Amos had been watching and listening to every word. After everyone else was asleep, Amos got up and went outside. The next morning, the Rover kids and Hannah awoke to a shocking surprise. The inside of the lean-to had been quickly and cruedly decorated with green and white streamers and a slightly decorated Christmas tree. Amos was cooking up another batch of his crawdad bisk. AMOS (shouts): Wake up! Wake up! It be Christmas Day! GRETA (looks around): Wow! JOSEPHINE (looks around): Amazing! YURI (smiles): Well, at least it looks more like Christmas! AMOS (smiles): I have something for all of you! Amos Doggie walks outside and drags in a huge sack of presents with his teeth. HANNAH (shocked): Presents? TANYA (smiles): WOW!! This is really great! The Rover children empty the sack quickly as Hannah quietly walks over to Amos HANNAH (whispers): Sir, how did you get all of these gifts? AMOS (whispers): The same way I get everything else I need, my gator friends and I paid a visit to a human house and .... HANNAH (whispers): You stole these presents? AMOS (whispers): I prefers to call it 'finding' them. I don't even know what's inside them! There were many strange looking gifts. Clothes, toy cars and games, baby dolls, even a model train set which Peng and Deng assembled. All of the Rover kids were happy, playing with their 'found' gifts. HANNAH (whispers): I guess we'll all have to be going soon.... you said... AMOS (growls): I said, I said, it not be so! You and these fine children will stay here as long as you like! I insist! HANNAH (looks at Amos): You seem different, you're not even mad anymore! AMOS (smiles): You and these wonderful puppies have taught me to love again, to love life and to care about my fellow canines! I feel so warm inside, I've never felt dis way in a long, long time! HANNAH (smiles): I'm so glad you've had a change of heart! AMOS (looks at Hannah): Do you know you have very beautiful eyes? As Amos and Hannah move closer to each other, Greta runs over and hugs Amos's one front leg GRETA (crying): Thank you, sir, for giving us a Christmas we'll never forget! All of the other Rover children came over and thanked Amos, who was so overcome with joy that he actually cried. All of a sudden, the twelve Rover children began to grow brightly. YURI (shocked): What's going on? FELIPE (surprised): Sucrableu! We're glowing! GRETA (frightened): What does this mean? PENG (sternly): It appears that someone on the Canius Minor is attempting to bring us back! AMOS (shocked): You're leaving? NO!!! Please stay! HANNAH (smiles): You're going home! Good luck, and thank you for everything! The other Rover children smile as they slowly disappeared from the lean-to. Amos is so overcome with grief that he buries his head in a blanket and weeps. The scene now switches to the sick bay of the Canius Minor. All twelve of the Rover children are in beds in a large ward room. They'd been transdogmafied back into Cano-Sapiens and were beginning to awaken. Abdullah, Sheena and Deborah are all in the ward room, carefully watching their young patients. DENG (confused): What happened? YURI (shakes head): Where are we? GRETA (spots Deborah): MOMMY!!!! Deborah runs over and hugs Greta. Soon other Space Rover parents enter the ward room. Molly and Bruno embrace Yuri and Tanya. Marie and Francis run over and hug their three Poodle kids. Luigi and Sophia were both crying as they were reunited with their four children. Su Li and Lao Zi rejoiced at finding their twin sons. Hans ran over to hug both Greta and Deborah. Soon after all of the joyous "reunions", Daisy and Flash walked into the ward room and quickly explained what had just transpired. DAISY: You children were very, very lucky that our labratory had working survalliance cameras. We saw all of you disappear when that wormhole generator sent you back in time. FLASH: We were able to find you by reversing the process and homing in on your homing devices in your collars. Calypso and Fydo enter the ward room. CALYPSO (happy): PRAISE THE LORD! ALL OF YOU BE SAFE AND SOUND! ABDULLAH (holding clipboard): Safe, but not sound. Several of you kids sustained minor bruises. All of you need to rest here overnight. SHEENA (smiling): But all of you seem very well fed! What did you bloaks eat in the past? GRETA (smiles): We all had crawdad bisk! ABDULLAH (confused): Crawdad bisk? TANYA (smiles): Da! It looked and smelled funny, but tasted very good! FYDO (holding videotape in his hand): Calypso, NOW I know the mystery of this tape! Remember the note? PENG (sits up in bed): It said to play the tape when we returned! DENG (nods): And we've all returned! CALYPSO (smiles): You be correct, Fydo, use the ward's main viewing screen to play the tape! Fydo inserts the videotape and sets the view screen controls. Instantly appearing on the tape are Amos Doggie and Hannah. JOSEPHINE (points): Look! Those are the dogs we met in the past! YURI (motions to Josephine): Shhhhhhhhhhhh! Listen.... AMOS (on screen): Hello again, children! Hannah tried to explain to me how we met you in the past, but that be above this old dog's understanding! For years, she and I wondered who you were and where your 'home' was. It was only when we recently joined the Road Rovers that Hannah used a computer to cross reference your names and we finally found you! HANNAH (on screen): Yes, we had to find you to thank all of you! All of you taught Amos to love again, and brought he and I together! By the way, shortly after you left us, Amos and I got married! AMOS (on screen): So, now that you be viewing dis tape, bet y'all's wondering what's in dat crate? Well, I saved all of dose gifts I 'found' you! We put dem all in the crate along with many new gifts dat me woman picked out for ya! I hope all of you wonderful puppies enjoy the gifts, and also, when the next time come when ya visit earth, please come see us! I be saving some crawdad bisk for ya! HANNAH (smiles): We have no puppies of our own, so Amos and I hope that all of you kids will consider us to be your aunt and uncle, OK? AMOS (waves right mechanical arm): See? I got a new arm! Tanks to the Road Rovers! Bye now, Uncle Amos and Aunt Hannah signing off! Amos and Hannah wave as the tape ends. FYDO (surprised): So that's what's in that huge crate! Gifts for the Rover childern! All of the Rover children cheer and shout out for joy. This was certainly a Christmas to remember. ------------------------------------------------------------
